Itinerary
04:30 AM – Pick-up from your hotel in Cusco
- Early pick-up from your accommodation to begin the journey south.
- Drive through beautiful valleys and small Andean communities.
07:30 AM – Breakfast in Pacchanta
- Enjoy a local breakfast in the community of Pacchanta, starting point of the hike.
08:30 AM – Start of the Hike
- The hike begins at 4,300 meters above sea level.
- You’ll gradually ascend through Andean terrain, passing herds of alpacas and llamas.
10:00 AM – Visit to the 7 Lakes
- Explore and take photos at each of the stunning lakes: Azulcocha, Otorongo, Pucacocha, Alqacocha, Q'omercocha, Orco Otorongo, and China Otorongo.
- Each lake has its own unique color and beauty due to mineral content and light reflection.
12:30 PM – Return hike to Pacchanta
- Take a different path for scenic views of the Ausangate glacier.
01:30 PM – Optional Hot Springs in Pacchanta

02:00 PM – Lunch in Pacchanta
